Carol Mazo has spent her life advocating for those in need of a friend in their corner. She has worked for 23 years with Kaiser Permanente’s Home Health program as a Social Worker for individuals, primarily the elderly with medical needs. She began her career working in adult day care facilitating caregiver support groups. A loud and proud Trojan, Carol received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California with a minor in Gerontology. Her hobby of long-distance running led to her involvement with the Skid Row Running Club, which uses the power of running to improve the lives of those at risk of addiction and homelessness. Additionally, she’s been a lifelong volunteer within her religious and spiritual community. She has two daughters, including one entering graduate school with aspirations to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
